MJC Construction have completed the strip out and refurbishment of Units 7&8 on the Heron Industrial Estate, Spencers Wood, Reading.

Working with CS2 Surveyors, these light industrial units have been refurbished ready for reletting as two 8,068sq ft units or 16,164,sq ft combined. The programme was completed on schedule in 10 weeks. Work included;

• Internal strip out of previous tenants’ fixings
• Strip out electric installations
• Reinstatement of division wall between the two units
• Install new ceiling insulation above office suspended ceilings
• Full internal and external decoration and spraying to cladding.
• Roof works including replacement of rooflight sheets
• Replacing all windows
• Repairs to the loading bay doors
• Cleaning, repairs and repainting external hard standings
• Removal and replacement of toilet and kitchen facilities
• Remove and replace all floor finishes (carpets and vinyl)
• Remove and replace with low energy external and internal lighting
• Install Daikin air con to offices
• Test and carry out remedial works to Fire detection systems
• Install low energy Dimplex PLXE wall mounted heaters.
