Construction of a mezzanine floor
MJC has successfully delivered the full strip out and refurbishment of a 25,700 sq ft industrial unit at 381 Sykes Road on the Slough Trading Estate, on behalf of SEGRO. The project was completed over a 25-week programme in collaboration with Air BC.
Formerly operating as a prestige vehicle accident repair centre, the unit required comprehensive upgrading to meet modern industrial and commercial standards.
External & Structural Works
- Extensive roof refurbishment, including installation of new GRP rooflights
- Application of new roof coating system
- Installation of passive fall protection and perimeter guardrails
- Below-ground drainage remedial works
- Repairs and making good to external doors, windows and hardstanding areas
Internal Refurbishment
- Full strip-out of previous tenant installations, including existing kitchenette
- Design, supply and installation of energy-efficient LED lighting throughout
- Complete MEP design and installation, including new HVAC systems
- Construction of new WC block and welfare facilities
- Installation of a new mezzanine floor
Fire & Compliance Upgrades
- Fire lining, fire stopping and intumescent coating to mezzanine structure
- Design and installation of a new fire alarm system
